The six trophy-winners, who competed against 45 competitors from other schools throughout southern California, were Steven Castorena [1st Place Black Belt div.], Peter Brown [2nd Place Brown belt - 1st-3rd kyu div], Vicente Cordero [1st Place Sr. Purple Belt 4th kyu div.], Byron Davis [2nd Place Sr. Purple Belt  - 4th kyu div.], Stark Powell [1st Place Sr. Green Belt  - 6th kyu div.], and Camilla Lucero [2nd Place, Yellow Belt 7th kyu div.].
 
Across the hall was a Judo Seminar run by Sensei Gary Goltz, who asked George to drop by.Gary is also a member of the LAPD CMAAP.
